Safety
Our team members are well-trained and make safety a priority. We realize that a safe work environment benefits us – and our customers – on both a human level and on economic level.
How do we accomplish our enviable safety record? Our foremen are evaluated, in part, based upon crew safety practices and training initiatives. In addition to daily job briefings, our crews meet regularly to review safety issues and concerns with our full time Safety Director, and then work with our customers to address them.
The numbers speak for themselves. Annually, Midwest Electric averages 2.46 OSHA incidents over the last five years, while most electrical contractors average 6.0 OSHA incidents per year in that same time period.
Flexibility
How to avoid rework on a project and minimizing downtime are two important issues for many industrial companies when it comes to electrical contracting work. Because of our longtime experience performing large, complex and time-sensitive work in large industrial facilities, we understand the importance of doing the job right and with minimal downtime.
Many of our customers have businesses they can’t afford to shut down, so we work with them to minimize or eliminate the need for plant downtime. When a shutdown is required, we’re committed to meeting their shutdown schedules.
For utility customers, it is a priority to complete capital and annual maintenance projects, as well as have the ability to respond to help those in need after a natural disaster.

Technical Talent
We’ve proven our mettle in both large manufacturing environments and in the utility right-of-way. Midwest Electric has provided more than 200 electricians for a plant shutdown, switched out 20,200 KVA transformers in a 48-hour timeframe, or managed more than 100 linemen restoring power after a major hurricane. We are equally adept at serving as a backup provider, supplying extra manpower, or providing services for smaller operations.
