When our industrial customers need to shut down their facilities to upgrade equipment, make capital improvements or conduct routine plant maintenance, time is of the essence. Midwest Electric has made its name in shutdown work. Our crews have experience with shutdowns that range in duration from 12 hours to 12 days and range in team size from two to more than 200 individuals.

Pulp/Paper
Pulp/Paper manufacturing facilities contain inordinate amounts of water and steam. It’s imperative that electrical equipment be able to withstand the surrounding corrosive environment. Our crews possess the knowledge and expertise to work in such manufacturing specific environments.

Food Preparation
Each manufacturing environment is unique, and food preparation is no exception. Every day specific lines need to be shut down and cleaned. Food preparation facilities have special electrical needs that require a thorough knowledge and understanding of the environment’s standards. We understand such complex manufacturing settings and are equipped to respond to the challenges they represent.

Automotive
Nowhere are currency and voltage-control issues more important than in automotive facilities, where robotics are the norm. We specialize in high-activity, high-voltage surroundings, and have the know-how to get the job done without damaging high-tech equipment and processes.
