Our strength in utility work is guided by our Vice President of Operations, Jeff Wachter, who spent 20 years working for one of the nation’s largest power companies.

Distribution
Every utility company’s infrastructure is unique. We have worked on rural utility service lines, as well as investor-owned grids. Midwest Electric has the field leadership, experience and local union relationships that allow us to react quickly to overhead, underground and substation maintenance and construction projects.

Transmission
A new service line for Midwest Electric as a company, our utility division leaders have more than 100 years of collective transmission experience. We have experience on inspection, maintenance and construction projects and employ several linemen who have performed Bare Hand maintenance.

Emergency Storm Restoration
In the last year, Midwest Electric responded to emergency calls from 15 states, helping to restore power to several hundred thousand customers.

From the hurricane devastated Gulf Coast to winter storms off the Great Lakes, Midwest Electric crews pride themselves on their ability to work hard, with superior safety, while working side by side with host utilities to bring a sense of normalcy back to those affected by natural disasters.

Street and Area Lighting
We provide street light installation and maintenance services for the Columbus region. Our four crews respond to the more than 60 work orders issued daily and work diligently to close work orders within seven days.
