We are committed to working with top-level individuals. Many of our field personnel have participated in the American Line Builders Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (ALBAT) apprenticeship training program. The ALBAT apprentice program includes:

  • An introductory training school, sometimes referred to as “climbing school”
  • 7,000 hours of apprenticeship on-the-job training
  • A minimum of 504 classroom and related instruction hours
  • Maintaining required licenses and medical certifications

Midwest Electric linemen who have joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) later in their careers have received similar training from previous employers and have been tested by the local union to ensure that they are qualified to meet any challenge in the outside electrical construction industry.
